Our business is built on relationships with individuals, companies, and what are known in the cooperative world as anchor institutions, which are well established in our community and share our desire to create a more inclusive economy and living-wage jobs over the long term. We’d be glad to discuss that business model with you.
There are many ways you can become an anchor institution, such as contracting for our services or becoming a sponsor.
We offer a 1 or 2-week trial period and organic waste stream audit for our potential commercial and institutional customers. Our worker-owners will weigh and analyze your food scraps to develop an individualized estimate for the most cost-effective and environmentally friendly pick-up services for your business or organization.
Does your institution produce more than one ton of waste per week? If so, the Compost Cooperative can help you be in compliance with new Massachusetts environmental regulations.
